Canada Geese - National Park Animals

Canada has some fascinating national parks, national marine conservation areas and national historic sites. Viewers have experiences that are interesting, pleasant, fascinating, ultimate, awe-inspiring and educational.

The Canada goose is often seen in urban city areas. The black head and neck with a white "chinstrap" are features that distinguish the Canada goose from all other goose species. However, there is the exception of the cackling goose and barnacle goose (the latter, however, has a black breast and grey rather than regular brownish body plumage).

The 7 interesting subspecies of this goose bird vary widely in size and plumage details, but all are recognizable as Canada geese. Some of them could be hard to distinguish from the cackling goose (which slightly overlap in mass). However, most subspecies of the cackling goose are considerably smaller. To add to the size difference, cackling geese also have a shorter neck and smaller bill.

Some Canadian companies have the word goose in the name. For example, Canada Goose Holdings Inc. is a Canadian holding company of winter clothing manufacturers.

Canada Goose jackets are pretty expensive. Canada Goose started out as a working-class brand in 1957, but has since transformed into a big status-symbol. Its fascinating jackets today can cost up to $1,550. The brand says that its jackets can withstand cold temperatures as low as -30° C. They also say that the animal fur trim protects against air-flow.
