COVID-19: Canada expected to receive 6M doses of vaccine by mid-April

Global News certainly shows that vaccine shipments are ramping up, with Canada expected to receive millions more doses in the next 3 weeks. 

Procurement minister Anita Anand said Friday that country of Canada would receive 6 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine by April 18, which she said would be equal to the number of doses received over the past 3 months.

Included in those six million doses, she said, would be the 1.5 million doses of the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine (for the dangerous virus) from the USA. Those are expected to arrive on Tuesday.

How long will a vaccine protect all people? It is too soon to know exactly how long a vaccine will last for sure. It is currently being researched by scientists. Of the people who have received the vaccine, we know that they have been protected from COVID-19 for at least 4 months.
